Galway, Connemara and the Aran Islands
Galway city is a lively base on the bay. West lies Connemara and the port of Rossaveel; offshore, the three Aran Islands of Inis Mór, Inis Meáin and Inis Oírr, reached by ferry or a short flight.
Killarney and County Kerry
Killarney sits beside Ireland's first national park and is the starting point for three very different days: the Gap of Dunloe mountain pass, the Ring of Kerry loop and the Dingle Peninsula.
